Premier League Commences

The Perth District Premier Volleyball League kicks off this Sunday evening at Bell’s Sports Centre with four Perth teams, two Kinross teams and two Fife teams. St Andrews University join the league for the first time with the Fife students pitched straight into a local derby with Colin McGinley’s Team Fife. The two Kinross teams, Scotrange and Kintronics are also drawn in a local head-to-head. Old Perth rivals Dodgy Spikers and Hitting Bricks are also drawn to play each other with Eagles and Mental Blocks finishing the Perth local derby scene.

With Team Fife winning the pre-season cup competition and current league champions Dodgy Spikers it will make for an interesting season.

19:00 Eagles v Team Fife (Mental Blocks); Scot Range v Hitting Bricks (St Andrews Uni)

19:45 Eagles v Mental Blocks (Scot Range); Dodgy Spikers v Hitting Bricks (Kintronics) 

20:30 Team Fife v St Andrews Uni (Eagles); Scot Range v Kintronics (Dodgy Spikers) 

21:15 Mental Blocks v St Andrews Uni (Team Fife); Dodgy Spikers v Kintronics (Hitting Bricks)

 

P & K Under 18 Boys Team

 

This Sunday also sees the Perth and Kinross Junior Boys team travel to Edinburgh to play three matches against local sides City of Edinburgh, Cavalry Park NUVOC and James Gillespie’s NUVOC. This is the second set of Junior National League games of the season with the local squad having played two previous games, winning one and losing one.
