It’s time for local volleyballers to blow away the festive cobwebs with the first games of 2024 scheduled for Sunday evening at Perth College.
Top fixture on Sunday is the meeting of the top two teams Team Fife and Kinross as one of the last games of the evening. Ellen Ranklin’s Team Fife are undefeated so far this season and with Andy Gunn’s Kinross having lost one game so far it gives them the opportunity to peg back lost ground in this season’s league championship challenge. Meanwhile Jayne Cafferty’s third placed Nae Fear side have to win both of their fixtures against Aberuthven Acers and PLUS Perth in the hope that they can at least move into second place if other results go their way. The Aberuthven side, newly entering the league this season, have shown they are up for the challenge having won their previous two games before the festive shut down. PLUS Perth too, on their day, can beat the best so it is all to play for this Sunday evening.
